Silver Cycling is a project funded by Lambeth to enable the young-at-hearts to ride with volunteers in parks around their area on rickshaws and side by side bikes.

People remember the joy of cycling but don't have the opportunity to ride any more. Silver Cycling enables older people to go on a side-by-side bike with a trained volunteeer to recapture that feeling and those lovely memories.

We explore the local area, parks and green spaces in a relaxed, fun way. Side-by-side and rickshaws will be stored at your housing centre so you only have to pop out the door to get on a bike.

Initially running in two community housing centres in the Clapham area of Lambeth, the project will roll out across the borough during the year.

If you are a community centre that would like Silver Cycling or are interested in being a volunteer please drop us a line
