Note: Unfortunately we cannot accommodate people buying their own parts to build wheels in the course. However at the end of the two days we do offer advice on ordering your own components.

  • Determining ideal spoke lengths from component measurements using on-line calculators

Practical techniques/building a front and rear wheel

  • Including lacing technique, using a truing jig, truing and tensioning techniques


Front wheel build
  • Front wheel build theory
  • Practice techniques — lacing, tensioning and truing. Stripping and rebuilding front wheel.

Day 2

Rear wheel build
  • Rear wheel build theory, including dishing
  • Practice techniques — lacing, tensioning and truing. Stripping and rebuilding rear wheel.
