Instructor Training
As the biggest independent provider of cycle training in the country we have developed a comprehensive Instructor Training Programme. Administered by the CTC, CTUK is one of the first accredited centres in the UK. The main source material for our Instructor Training Programme is our recently updated and unique Instructors' Manual, which also informed the National Standards.
CTUK have years of experience promoting cycling through training. We offer consultancy and database services to other cycle training organisations around the country.
Instructor Training Programme
Our experienced Instructor Trainers run regular 4-day courses both in London and around the country. These courses followed by some monitored sessions lead to a National Certificate of accreditation. The courses are both practical and theoretical and include modules on CPA, Risk assessment, Instruction skills and of course a study of the National Standard. The CTUK manual and workbook are provided.

Past project: Tipton Rowley Regis Instructor Training CourseInstructor Maintenance Training
Our experienced Instructor Trainers also run regular one-day maintenance courses suitable for cycling instructors and people who organise cycling activities (e.g. youth workers and ride leaders). This practical course meets Best Practice National Standard bicycle maintenance criteria and also includes bike assessment and fitting.

Our Cycling Instructors Manual is the definitive guide to National Standards cycling instruction and is recommended reading for anyone in the profession as well as anyone interested in the theory of assertive cycling.
Consultancy
With our years of experience in running and promoting a variety of cycle training activities we have the expertise to advise anyone interested in setting up or improving on a cycle training scheme. We can give expert advice on syllabus, procedures, paperwork, managing and marketing a scheme. Fees are flexible and negotiable.
