Positive Spin sessions are free, fun, friendly cycle sessions for people with a diagnosis of dementia and their families and/or carers. There is no need to be able to cycle to take part (you can simply turn up to look and chat if you'd rather not cycle). All-ability bikes as well as regular bikes are provided.

 

Here are the dates for the Positive spin sessions in Lambeth and Hackney over the summer.

Lambeth Positive Spin 11-1pm  — NEW DATES!

June: 9, 16, 23, 30 July: 7, 14, 21, 28 August: 4, 11, 18, 25  Clapham Common (at the bandstand cafe in the centre of the common), Lambeth SW4 9DE

Hackney Positive Spin 1-3pm

June: 29 then a one week break and starting again on July: 13,20, 27, August: 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 Sept: 7, 14, 21, 18  Finsbury Park (basketball courts), Hackney N4 1EE

How can I join?

If you'd like to take part you can simply drop-in. There is no need to book.The sessions take place in parks near a cafe. People with dementia, their families and carers are all welcome. People can have fun trying out regular or specially adapted bikes (or simply have a chat and coffee).

*On the 18th and 19th of May we will be supporting Dementia Awareness Week.

We also take bikes to care homes/community centres in Hackney and Lambeth so people can have fun cycling at their home.
