Many schools in London can take advantage of free cycle training, subsidised by their borough and CTUK can help schools set up these courses up quickly with minimum paperwork.

A typical delivery model is for a course to be run over 4 or 5 weeks (one day a week for Year 5 & 6 students). The course takes trainees through the Bikeability syllabus (the National Standard for cycle training) and is designed to give trainees who can already ride an introduction to on-road cycling. Two cycling instructors teach the course - typically training small groups in 1.5-2 hour sessions. Additional training on the day may include a complete beginner lesson and a parent/teacher advice sessions. Before the course starts all bikes are checked to ensure they are roadworthy.

Other delivery models include a week long delivery of cycle training or training during holiday time. We also deliver Cycling Schools projects where an instructor is embedded in a school for the whole year offering a range of services to different year groups and to the school community.
