The new one-day maintenance courses set up in Ealing have been a great success. Held once a month the courses are now fully booked up until October and will be running monthly well into next year. Individuals living, working or studying in Ealing can attend a course for the subsidised cost of £5. Book early!
CTUK are pleased to be supplying the Dr Bike again this year at the Innocent Village Fete in Regents Park. Paul, Annie, Paola and Valerie will be there to give your beloved 2 wheels some care and attention.
It's been a busy year for festival Dr.Bikes, we've already been to the Respect Festival, Gladstonebury, Bike and Kite Festival, Small Revolutions and the Rotherhithe Festival among others. Phew!
Sue Able was so impressed by the riding style of a cyclist she recently encountered she felt compelled to book a lesson with CTUK for herself. The cyclist in question stated that his wife's riding had improved so well after a lesson with CTUK that he had booked a lesson and highly recommended the service.

Carol Thatcher above demonstrating a version of the principle 'Taking the Lane' on The One Show. CTUK were asked to contribute on a feature programme discussing how different road users interact.

'A single mechanic from Cycle Training UK managed to service no less than 35 bikes. We also had to turn 15 people away. We were somewhat overwhelmed by the response.' In April and May CTUK instructors delivered a wide range of cycle training through a project with the Southwark Refugee Community Forum. The aims were to assist members of the refugee community to access the benefits of cycling such as health, transport and financial.
