CYCLE TRAINING UK WINS NATIONAL AWARD

June 29, 2005

Cycle Training UK, London’s largest independent provider of on-road cycle training, has won the Business Contribution to Sustainable Transport award at the National Transport Awards 2005.

Cycle Training UK attended the high profile National Transport Awards dinner at the London Hilton on Park Lane last night (Tuesday 28th June). A record number of local authorities and organisations involved in transport across the UK and Ireland had submitted entries for the fifth National Transport Awards, but only three organisations had been shortlisted in the Business Contribution to Sustainable Transport category.

Staff members, Ben Bowskill and David Dansky, collected the award in front of a crowd of over six hundred guests from the transport world including Phillip Darnton, chair of Cycling England. The award is national recognition of Cycle Training UK’s dedication to promoting cycling as a form of transport and also the effectiveness of cycle training.

“We are very pleased to have won the award and were genuinely surprised when it was announced. This award is due to the dedication and hard work of the whole team, especially our instructors who are out training people every day of the year.”
