THE REVOLUTION WILL BE TELEVISED

February 17, 2005

Cycle Training UK, London’s largest independent provider of on-road cycle training, teams up with the BBC to make a documentary that puts cycling in central London to the test. The programme called Inside Out is due to air on BBC ONE London on Monday 28th February at 7:30 pm.

Cycling Instructor, David Dansky, leads BBC Presenter, Sumit Bose, through the new National Standard for Cycle Training and teaches him how to cycle assertively on some of London’s busiest roads. By the end of his training Sumit is confidently cycling down Park Lane, round Hyde Park Corner, and then completes a lap of Parliament Square for good measure.

“I found the whole experience intriguing. Before my training I had no idea you could cycle round London safely. I learnt some practical measures to make it safer, and the training gave me the confidence to cycle in London. I think it's something everyone should try.” Sumit Bose, Television Presenter.

“Sumit realised cycling is a safe activity that can be made even safer with training. He responded well to the lesson, as most trainees do, by understanding the importance of his road positioning so that he could see, be seen, and communicate effectively with other road users.” David Dansky, Cycling Instructor.
