Intermediate

This course is ideal for cyclists who have basic maintenance skills and are looking to increase their skills. The course demystifies more complex tasks such as wheel truing and re-greasing bearings.

Here are the areas covered in the course:
Transmission - pedals and cleat adjustment, chain wear and splitting/joining a chain, cassettes, removing/installing cranks, removing/installing chain rings and front & rear derailleurs
Bearings - adjusting and replacing bearings (note: this does not include cartridge bearings)
Wheels - assessing faults and truing slightly buckled wheels. If you are interested in a more comprehense wheel-specific course we also offer a 2 day wheel building course

(The course is not suitable for bicycles with hub brakes or hub gears but we would be happy to provide a bespoke session for you).


We offer one day and after work maintenance sessions at our training centre in Bermondsey (just a 5 minute cycle ride from Tower Bridge). We can also provide bespoke intermediate training to individuals and groups.
